The BACB fieldwork requirements change on 1 January 2027. Which set applies to you is decided by when your certification APPLICATION is approved — not by when you started fieldwork. There is no blanket grandfathering.

What's inside
- Monthly hour cap rises from 130 to 160
- Concentrated supervision drops from 10% to 7.5%
- Supervisor contact counts (4 / 6 per month) are removed entirely
- Client observation becomes a DURATION — 60 minutes (Supervised) or 90 minutes (Concentrated) per month — instead of a count
- Total hours, the 60% unrestricted rule, the 50% group cap and the 5-year clock are unchanged
- A logged observation with no duration recorded proves nothing under 2027. It counts the minutes for you.
